DEPKA advantages
Contributes to thermal insulation
The air trapped between cotton fibres conducts heat slowly. DEPKA brings this property to your walls, so the warmth or coolness you create stays in the room.

No more cold walls
The chill you feel when you touch an external wall in winter is a sign that heat is escaping through it. DEPKA cotton wall plaster forms a fibrous, porous layer over the wall, and this layer slows down heat transfer.
In winter, a heated room cools down more slowly; in summer, the heat outside takes longer to get in.
This insulating effect shows up on your bills as energy savings of up to 40% on heating and cooling.
Comfort in winter and summer
In winter
The air you heat stays in the room for longer, so the boiler runs less.
In summer
Outside heat passes through the wall more slowly, easing the load on the air conditioning.
To the touch
The surface feels warm and soft, so walls no longer feel cold.

If you need stronger insulation
DEPKA cotton plaster is a decorative interior coating: it beautifies the wall while contributing to thermal insulation.
In buildings with no insulation at all, or with high heat loss, you can also consider DEPKA's insulating plasters: interior insulating plaster for inside walls and exterior insulating plaster for outside walls. Talk to us and we will find the right solution for your project together.

About thermal insulation
Can cotton plaster replace external wall insulation?
No. Cotton plaster is a coating for interior walls that contributes to thermal insulation; it does not replace external wall insulation. The two can be used together.
Does cotton plaster help in summer too?
Yes. Its fibrous structure slows heat transfer in both directions; in summer it delays outside heat from coming in, helping to keep rooms cool. You will find ways to get more from it on the energy savings page.
What is thermal insulation?
It means the measures taken to limit the flow of heat from a warmer space to a colder one. We explain the topic in detail in our article on thermal insulation.
