Mixed colours and patterned cotton plaster

By blending the main colours of cotton plaster, you can create tones that are not on the chart, as well as veined and marble-look patterns. Every wall is one of a kind.

Ready-made mixed colours

Mixed colours with the DPK code

DEPKA's ready-made mixed colours carry the DPK code. DPK01 on our chart is a blend with distinct light-coloured fibres on a burgundy-terracotta base.

Prices for mixed colours have not been set yet. For colour options and prices, call us on +90 532 059 87 83 or send us a WhatsApp message.

Make your own blend

Three different methods

Dry blending

Mix two or more colours while dry, before adding water. You get the same blended tone across the whole wall.

Combining on the trowel

Prepare each colour as a separate mix, bring them together on the trowel and spread them onto the wall. This creates veined, marble-look transitions.

Combining on the wall

Apply separate mixes side by side on the wall. You can create patterns such as stripes, polka dots, logos or pictures.

How to prepare a mixed colour

The preparation rules are the same as for a single colour. Do not add anything other than water to the mix.

  1. 01

    Choose your colours

Pick two or three colours from our chart and note down the proportions you will use.

  2. 02

    Blend dry

Empty the packs into a plastic container and mix by hand without water, loosening any clumps of cotton.

  3. 03

    Add water

Add 4 litres of warm water per 1 kg of product, mix for 20–25 minutes, leave to rest for 20 minutes and mix again for 5 minutes.

  4. 04

    Apply

Spread onto the wall with the transparent DEPKA trowel. If you are working with separate mixes, combine the colours on the trowel or on the wall.

Set some aside for repairs

To match a mixed tone again later, note down the blend ratio and keep some of the dry mix. The damaged area is dampened, topped up with the same mix and smoothed with the trowel; once dry, the repair does not show.

Gold and silver DEPKA mica flakes

Add some sparkle

Mixing with mica flakes

If you would like to add sparkle to the wall, DEPKA mica flakes can be used together with cotton plaster. Mica comes in gold and silver, in 3–5 mm and 0–1 mm sizes, and costs 240 TL (Türkiye price; contact us for export orders).

If you plan to use mica, ask us about the quantity and when to add it. Nothing but water is added when preparing cotton plaster.

Mixed and patterned applications

About mixed colours

How much do mixed colours cost?

Prices for the ready-made mixed colours (DPK) have not been set yet; for up-to-date information, call +90 532 059 87 83 or message us on WhatsApp. If you make your own blend from the main colours, each colour costs 1,600 TL per 2 kg pack, with free shipping within Türkiye.

How many packs do I need for a mixed colour?

First work out the total area (1 kg covers 3.5–4 m²), then split the packs according to your colour ratio. For example, 25 m² needs about 4 packs (8 kg); if you are using two colours equally, buy 2 packs of each. Use the coverage calculator to work it out.

Can I put a logo or picture on the wall?

Yes. Mixes prepared in different colours can be used to create logos, pictures and patterns on the wall. See the artistic work gallery for examples.

Can I get a patterned, shimmering look like silk plaster?

DEPKA does not sell silk plaster; our product is 100% natural cotton plaster. You can create a patterned look by combining the main colours, and add shimmer with mica flakes.

Will a repair to a mixed finish show?

Not if it is repaired with the same blend. That is why we recommend noting the blend ratio and keeping some of the dry mix.
