DEPKA cotton wall plaster is a decorative cotton wall coating that, on its own, can take the place of base plaster, finishing plaster, gypsum, satin gypsum, primer, paint and wallpaper. It can be applied directly once the wall has been built.
It contains nothing but cotton, natural adhesive and decorative natural stones. Mixed with the right amount of water, it is ready to use, and once dry it forms a soft, warm, lightly textured surface.

Preparation and application
- 01
Prepare the surface
Remove poor-quality paint and wallpaper that dissolves in water, and fill large gaps with gypsum or cement.
- 02
Mix
Empty the product into a plastic container, add 4 litres of warm water per 1 kg and mix for 20–25 minutes.
- 03
Rest
Leave it for 20 minutes so the water soaks fully into the cotton, then mix again for 5 minutes.
- 04
Apply
Spread and smooth it on the wall with the transparent Depka trowel. It dries within 12–24 hours.
Important
Do not add anything but water to the mix. For a custom blend, you can combine several colours while they are still dry. Store any leftover mix in a cool place and use it within 24 hours.

About cotton plaster
Can cotton plaster be used in bathrooms and kitchens?
DEPKA cotton plaster is made for interior walls and ceilings and is resistant to humidity. For wet areas in direct contact with water, ask us and we will help you choose the right product.
Can it be applied over existing paint?
Yes. If the paint does not dissolve in water, it can be applied directly; a primer is recommended on painted surfaces. Poor-quality paints that dissolve in water must be removed first.
Can the colours be mixed?
Yes. By blending several colours you can create your own custom shades and patterns. See the mixed colours page.
