DEPKA advantages

Resistant to knocks and impact

The fibres of DEPKA cotton plaster wrap around one another to form a flexible surface. That surface stands up to everyday knocks, and even if it is damaged, it can be repaired with its own material.

Flexible structure, durable surface

DEPKA cotton plaster is highly resistant to external physical impact. Unlike hard plaster and paint layers, it isn't brittle: thanks to its soft, elastic structure, it doesn't chip, flake or crack when struck at an angle.

If it does get damaged, repairing it is easy. The damaged spot is moistened with water, left for a short while and smoothed with a trowel. With no colour mixing and no colour difference, the wall looks as good as new within minutes.

To repair a knocked area, see the repair guide: small marks are moistened and smoothed with a trowel; for larger damage, that section is removed and renewed with a fresh mix of the same product.

Frequently asked questions

Does cotton plaster scratch?

A sharp object can scratch or mark the surface. Scratches and small patches of damage are removed by moistening the area and smoothing it with a trowel, without adding any material.

Will the repaired spot show?

No. Because the colour doesn't fade and the repair uses the same material, there is no colour difference once dry, unlike with paint.

Does cotton plaster flake off when knocked?

No. Thanks to its soft, elastic structure, it doesn't chip or flake when struck at an angle. A knock may leave a mark or dent, which can be moistened with water and smoothed with a trowel.
