Most wall problems have the same roots: frequent repainting, hairline cracks, rooms that echo, high heating and cooling bills, and colours that never quite match after a touch-up. DEPKA cotton wall plaster answers many of these in a single layer.
Below you will find the seven most common problems and how DEPKA solves them.
Seven problems, one solution
| Problem | With DEPKA cotton plaster |
|---|---|
| High heating and cooling bills | Contributes to thermal insulation, with up to 40% energy savings on heating and cooling. |
| Hairline cracks | Its flexible structure does not crack and covers small cracks and flaws in the wall. |
| Echo and unwanted noise | The porous cotton texture reduces echo; it can be applied to ceilings too. |
| Frequent repainting | Long-lasting, with a guarantee of up to 10 years in new buildings and 3 years in older ones. |
| Renovation that means demolition | Goes straight over the existing surface; application is clean, it does not run and leaves no smell. |
| Colour mismatch after touch-ups | The colour does not fade, so a repaired area cannot be told apart from the rest of the wall. |
| Difficult surfaces | Can be applied to many surfaces, including tiles. |

Frequently asked questions
Is cotton plaster the same as silk plaster?
No. That is a general name for textured coatings from different manufacturers, and what goes into them varies from brand to brand. DEPKA cotton plaster is made of cotton, natural adhesive and natural stone. We explain the differences in our comparison article.
Does it contain polystyrene or synthetic fillers?
No. DEPKA contains nothing but cotton, natural adhesive and decorative natural stone. When you prepare it, you add only warm water.
How does it cope with damp and humidity?
DEPKA has a breathable structure and resists moisture. If the damp in a wall has a known source, we recommend dealing with that source before application.
