How ceramic flakes are made
Micronised ceramic powder is brought to a paint-like consistency in the required colours and fired at high temperature to produce ceramic flakes. The flakes are sized as required, blended in set colour ratios and combined with a modified pure acrylic binder before being applied to the wall.
Made of high-strength acrylic resin and ceramic-based flakes, this structure forms a long-lasting surface that resists water and the weather, thanks to its chemical composition and the quality of the resin. Because it carries the main colours of granite and marble, the facade looks as if a single slab of granite had been cut and fixed to it.
Key features
Granite look
Compositions created from natural granite tones give the effect of solid stone.
Flexible structure
Bonds strongly to the surface, bridges any cracks that may form and copes with movement in the building.
Weather resistant
Resists acid rain and outdoor weather conditions.
Breathable
Its vapour-permeable structure lets moisture in the wall escape.
Impact resistant
Resists knocks and impacts, and can be repaired when needed.
Washable
Can be washed clean when dirty, which is why it is also popular in stairwells.
Application
Preparation and application
- 01
Repair the surface
If any part of the surface to be plastered needs repair, do that first.
- 02
Apply the primer
Apply the shell plaster primer that matches the plaster colour and leave it to dry for 24 hours.
- 03
Prepare the mix
Pour 15 litres of clean water into a large plastic tub, add the thickening powder and mix quickly. Add the flakes and wet them thoroughly, then slowly add the binder until you reach a mortar-like consistency. If it is too thick, loosen it with a little water.
- 04
Apply
Apply the mix to the surface with a steel trowel. The air temperature must not be below 5 °C during application.

Can it be used indoors?
Yes. Because it is washable and resists knocks, it is also used in stairwells and interiors.
How many square metres does one set cover?
A 20 kg set covers 18–20 m².
Can it be applied in winter?
It is not applied when the air temperature is below 5 °C. Plan the work for days when the temperature is suitable.
